First, I tried connecting through Bluetooth. Missing support... :-(. Run ratabgctl list, then ratbagctl info eventX and ratbagctl --help to have an idea on how to change the values in a script. But now it doesn't work on the Macbook, I've unpaired from both machines, reset bluetooth module on the Mac, and trying to re-pair on the Mac just exhibits exactly the same symptoms as the OP. Laptops these days only have one USB port which is used for docking so using the unifier would mean I’d have to get an adapter for both laptops which defeats the purpose of getting these Bluetooth mice in the first place. I recently bought a Logitech MX Master and it was lovely to use for the 5 minutes it worked with the unifyer. It will always say I have unsaved settings, but when I reopen the window it seems to have saved fine. And do you have an idea, how Logitechs Windows software manages the settings on such devices?

This guy ^^^ solution works correctly for MX Master 2S and K789 Keyboard.Pair with blinking fast mode. Very jumpy and laggy but I managed to resolve it by reconnecting per pairing process. I don't have another bluetooth non-apple mouse for test this problem :). Allow me to provide a simple step to isolate the issue with the mouse, since the mouse still works using the USB receiver. Disappointed in Logitech's approach, never saw anything other than bland responses to anyone raising this issue. Had liked the Vertical until now. In the meantime the Mac Pro became an issue. Got my replacement MX Vertical from Amazon and the new mouse exhibits same dysfunctional pairing behaviour with the Mac Pro running 10.13.6 but pairs and works perfectly with the Mac Mini running 10.14.6.

I'm currently using an udev rule to set DPI via solaar config, but that's more of a hackish workaround and also only good for single-user systems. @bentiss I suppose Solaar could be a better place to take this discussion. For me its still unsolved. Perhaps we are a very small subset of the user base, but we are spending decent money on their products, would expect a bit more concern with issues customers are facing. There is an other problem with the MX Master 2S. I have the old cheap bluetooth mouse I used previously now running on the Mac Pro, so 10.13.6 doesn't seem to have an issue with it's bluetooth management. I have the same issue with my MX Master - and sorry, but this does not help. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the pairing.

I encountered exactly the same problem. It was a pain but I upgraded to OSX 10.14 and now the mice work again. This issue also happens with the MX Master 3. (I have a Microsoft surface and Mac Pro). That's a limitation from the mouse and the choices we made with libratbag: So there is no easy way to solve this besides having a custom script run after the mouse is plugged in (like a udev rule).

I have this same issue as well, and have been beating my head against the wall with Logitech's canned, unhelpful bot repossess. not active but still in the menu bar, so just window closed not quit).

Connecting with another Unifying receiver?
